Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • 225 g butter
  • ¾ cup white sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 2 eggs
  • chocchip22 ½ cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 ½ cups chocolate chips

Method

  • chocchip3Cream butter, sugars and vanilla. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition.
  • Add sifted dry ingredients, mix.
  • Add chocolate and combine well.
  • Place large spoonfuls on to greased or lined oven trays leaving plenty of room for them to spread.
  • Bake at 180°C for 15 minutes.

Note: You can add a combination of different types of chocolate or dried fruit such as apricots. As long as it equals 1 ½ cups.
