The egg size I use is size 7 unless stated otherwise.
- 1 cup = 250 ml or 8.4 fluid ounces
- 1 litre = 4 cups or 33.8 fluid ounces
- 1 Tablespoon = 15 ml or 0.5 fluid ounces
- 1 dessertspoon = 10 ml or 0.33 fluid ounces
- 1 teaspoon = 5 ml or 0.17 fluid ounces
- ½ teaspoon = 2.5 ml or 0.085 fluid ounces
- ¼ teaspoon = 1.25 ml or 0.04 fluid ounces
Metric to imperial conversions (approximate):
- Weight:
- 30 g = 1 ounce
- 50 g = 1¾ ounces
- 120 g = 4 ounces
- 240 g = 8 ounces
- 450 g = 1 pound
- 1 kg = 2¼ pounds
- Volume:
- 1 litres = 1¾ pints
- Lengths:
- 2.5 cm = 1 inch
- 20 cm = 8 inches
- 30 cm = 12 inches
